Into The Clutches of Cobra-La, my first GI Joe novel has been available on Amazon's Kindle World for a while now. I can't remember the exact date because I've re-uploaded it, due to technical difficulties. Regardless it has been a couple of years. Although I unabashedly love the critically panned and fan infuriating animated GI Joe The Movie from 1987, Into The Clutches of Cobra-La was actually sparked by the Lt. Falcon vs. Nemesis Immortal comic two-pack. It may be wise to point out at this time I love bad movies. You know, movies so bad they're good like The Room, Manos The Hands of Fate, or Abraxas Guardian of the Universe. Movies so-bad-they're-good are different from your standard "bad" movie like the Michael Bay Transformers franchise or any Adam Sandler schlock.
This is why I have watched GI Joe The Movie probably over a hundred times, despite the legitimate claims that it brought down the franchise in a spiral of shame. Even though I love it, I decided to re-imagine the movie as an action-packed adventure, embracing the horror genre.

Five Star Review from Bernard Nery - This was an excellent retelling of GI Joe's encounter with Cobra-La and brought back memories of the 1987 movie. I love sci-fi adventure horror in general so Mr. Braham's perspective of the Cobra-La world and it's prehistoric/superhuman inhabitants were a treat. The nerve-racking encounter with Nemesis Enforcer, or Immortal, as Hasbro now refers to him, and Snowcat battle were especially memorable. The characters are as I would have envisioned them - Beachhead, Falcon, Jinx, Pythona, and many more.. no Snake-Eyes unfortunately! But with the overwhelming power of the Cobra-La race, I can understand how Snake was easily subdued in the movie.
I do wish there was more content as the final battle seemed a bit rushed. This novella is dark.. meaning characters die.. sort of.. and I'll leave it at that. A great read overall.
Mindbender Theater, my second GI Joe novel, has been available via Amazon's Kindle World since November of 2016. No action figure or GI Joe media, in particular, inspired this tale. As a self-professed comic book geek, I feel a kinship with the characters Sci-Fi and Mainframe. I can't think of any examples, but I have always assumed they were close friends, maybe best of friends. I also assume they hang out on their days off, and one of my favorite things to do when I'm not working is going to the movies. In the comic or on the cartoon, if any of the Joes went to the movies you could bet your last dollar Cobra would be there causing problems. I went straight up action-packed thrill ride with this one as if it was a summer blockbuster. A Hollywood landmark is destroyed, explosions, a high-speed car chase, a dog-fight between a Night Raven and Slip-Stream's Conquest X-30, and more. Five Star Review from Matt - Mindbender Theater by Eric Braham was an extremely fun ride - and to me, that's what GI Joe is supposed to be about. Growing up with the Sunbow series as my mythos, this story definitely felt like it could have been a lost episode! I also appreciated the ending and how it tied into another key point in Joe history... but, no spoilers :)
Sandcastle Detente, my third GI Joe novel will be available soon, via Amazon's Kindle Worlds. It is a serious action adventure, centered around a tangled web of corruption, intrigue, and unexpected allegiances.
